Loïc Caroux, Ph.D.

I am an Associate Professor ("Maître de Conférences") of Cognitive Psychology and Ergonomics at Université Toulouse Jean Jaurès (France) and I am affiliated with the CLLE laboratory.

I engage in research and teach in the fields of Human Factors/Ergonomics, Cognitive Psychology and Human-Computer Interaction.

My research focuses on Human Factors/Ergonomics in everyday computing systems. I coordinate or am involved as a human factors expert in various research projects on video games, assistive computing technologies, as well as robotic and autonomous systems. I conduct studies to understand whether and how design choices for these types of systems can impact user experience, performance, and cognitive processes (e.g., perception, attention, memory). Most of this research is carried out in collaboration with partners from other disciplines (e.g., computer science, robotics, health science, etc.).
